Found at Revere Beach, (Mass), this morning about 1 foot down near the water at low tide. Looks to be made of Copper. Large ring, about a size 10. I think it's very old. any thought?

Looks like gold to me. Can you do an acid test on it? Nice find either way. :icon_thumright:

My grandmother has been looking for that ring since she lost it in 1945, when her and my Gramps were courting after the war. She will be thrilled to know you have found it, she will be PMing you later this evening.. Thankyou!

Nice, very nice! Design does look old, did you test it, it looks like gold!

Thanks for sharing...

Does look like gold, but if you over scrub copper or use harsh chemicals it looks the same. Could have been a copper ring that just got rubbed down a little by the sand? Kinda hard to tell.
