I arrived at the beach with my buddy. As we unloaded our gear a fellow metal detectorist approached our truck. He told us that he had hunted this fresh water beach for 2 hours and there was people (other detectorists) leaving when started. He showed us his finds of a rusty ring and a part of a hunting logo necklace. As he boasted about not even finding a coin, I began to wonder if I should try this area out. He went on and told us there was no need in hunting that area because he had combed it over with his minelab CTX3030.
I looked at my buddy, he looked back at me and smiled. We grabbed our minelab excalibur ii's and hit the beach.
Within 10 minutes I had dug 2 new dimes... Later 3 more to follow, a nickel, one rusty bud light bottle cap and...
drum roll please
A Tungsten wedding band with a Dimond
It goes to show you how a place maybe hunted, even with the best of machines but human error or over confidence is always there!
Happy Hunting
