Beach hunting with the X-terra 305- Any tips?

Hello everyone

I haven't been metal detecting for a while now and I would like to get back into it.

I would like to find my first gold ring (any ring will be fine), I know a good place to start to find rings is the beach.

Does any one have any tips on beach hunting with the x-terra 305 or just general beach detecting tips?

Use the largest coil you can lay your hands on. Work the blanket line down to as close to the water as you can get before your detector becomes unstable. Use zero discrimination and dig everything that doesn't grunt iron. Keep the coil flat on the sand and don't rush. Good luck and have fun
