I hunted 61st street before they started rebuilding the beach there, same weekend as the seeded hunt at east beach. Found a couple clad quarters, pennies, and one new dollar coin. There was a woman beachcombing that found one of the dollars on top of the sand. Not a lot for 4hrs worth of hunting, best part was getting to meet a fellow detectorist. He and I worked the other side of the jetty in a nice grid, I don't think we missed anything. By the way the Vaquero worked quite well in dry and wet sand, only a couple small pockets of something that made it a little unstable once in a while. Even submerged the coil in the water a few times, no problems.
