You never know what they will pull up from off shore . When they use to dredge from the passes you could find all kind of stuff. On the east coast you would see m.d.ers right at the end of the pipe .When they did it here 20 yrs ago there was rumors of gold coins. So I would sure give it A try.

Here, on the Left Coast, they sometimes dredge from the lagoons and dump the material on the beach. There, the organics rot and smell for a couple of days, then only the sand is left--void of collectibles.
