I would like to try snorkeling with my Excal. I have been wading up to my chest but would like to give snorkeling a shot. I have a long handle scoop that I use now for wading. I would like to hear from someone who has snorkeled before with some suggestions such as type of mask, snorkel, fins, stainless trowel? or fan? or any others suggestions you would have. What kind of bag would you use in the water to hold your finds? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If the area you are hunting is rocky you will have better luck fanning for targets with your fin or hands. Go to a dive shop to get the correct fit on your gear, it will make your trip more enjoyable. The best finds pouch that I've found for land and sea is this mesh pouch listed below. Good luck! http://www.ebay.com/itm/380747669520

Thanks for the feedback. I will check with my local dive shop and also take a look at the back. Have a great week.

I seldomm have the opportunity to benefit from a mask and snorkel unless I can get out on the flats and bars beyond the breakers, which is very seldom. But when I do I use these swimming goggles with the tented lenses, sort of double up as sunglasses. The ones pictured need cleaned and I have about four pair of them.
