Original place I was going to detect was a bust. I only had three hours and had just wasted an hour driving around. Went to my go to place that I have hunted over and over. Swinging along and I hear a sweet tone reading 90 on my at gold. I'm thinking to myself that it could be a silver half but what are the chances. I carefully dig a plug, pop it out, and I can see the eagles head on the back of a walking liberty half dollar. I flip it over to check the date. 1945. Sweet! I replace the plug and swing back over the hole, but nothing. Not but 3 ft away though I get a sweet sound ringing off at an 83 on my machine. I know it has to be a silver dime. I was right. 1942 mercury dime. Sweet again. For a bust of a day, it sure turned out awesome!!!
