Beautiful Half-Dime

[large cent hunter]

The local golf course, which was the town Poor Farm, was closed for drainage work and I got permission to hunt. Found this where a public road used to be.

Not a dumb question. The last half cents (seated liberty) were minted in 1873, the first nickels (shield nickel) were minted in 1866.
