Beautiful Morning for a Rosie in New York.

It was so cool this morning, about 65-degrees, and the humidity was gone! I checked out a spot I've been wanting to detect for a while, and spent the first two-hours digging pulltabs and canslaw. After cleaning out the 20' x 20' square pretty well, I slapped on the big 11" coil and started looking for some deeper targets. After another hour my total was not that impressive but, it did confirm my research, and rewarded me with a 1954 Rosie.

A silver dime isn't a bad dirt fishing day. Weather getting colder stinks though. But at least it helps the landlubbers.

WTG Terry...sniffing out that silver one dime at a time! Seems like it's slim pickins as of late...a couple of us (NOT me)...are raking it in at some great spots. I've been spending some time at a mid 1800's house that I've been slobbering over since i started back 2 years ago...NOTHING!..no wheats, no silver no relics...dug modern trash/clad at over 6 inches...there's been a lot of dirt moved there. I'm going to try some of the fields when I get time...I thought this place was a slam dunk..oh well, it will come. Terry, congrats on silver..ddf

A lone Rosie would be just fine with me right now. I'm hunting an old park here, using a method similar to yours. Find an area, work my tail off pulling out the trash, and then go back looking for the good stuff. I've found some interesting items, but a silver now and then would be a boost.
