Got back from my vaca last night and got out this morning for a bit. My first find today was this beautiful sterling silver spoon. I believe it's an old English T at the top and if that's the case this spoon could be an important piece of our local history. The place I found this is a point that is named after a family whose last name starts with T. I know it's not worth a whole lot and it's not super old but it's one of my favorite finds and I love the design.
I also found an LC and another copper with no detail. I found a couple buckles as well.
I added a pic of a broken arrowhead that is razor sharp and I'm some glad I had my Kevlar strand gloves on that I work in. They're design to bind up saw blades and prob saved me some stitches today. So be careful out there guys.

Sweet digs, that spoon is killer

Welcome back from your cruise Abe.
Those finds would make my day. Beautiful spoon.
Did you get me those bikini pictures while you were on vacation? :laughing7:

That piece from a broad head is a scary thought! Lucky you didn't slice your fingers up, or did you?

Luckily I had my Kevlar gloves on from work.

Great finds - the spoon is most of a hundred years old anyway , I'd clean her up and eat my cereal in the morning with it !

Nice hunt welcome back. Looks like the blade off a muzzy broad head. Bet the spoon will clean up nice

Nice finds. That spoon will be a good addition to your collection.

Let me just tell you my friend, going on a cruise in the Carribean with your wife or girlfriend is not easy. Being on a boat with 400 half naked super models is hard on a fella. But I pulled through man. The pics are securely etched in my mind. I wish I could could send you my memories :-)

Great spoon and LC. I just found an 1803 Draped Bust this morning, my third Large Copper.

Did a bit more work on it and it has a pat date of 1891. I think this will be a real looker and will look great in a display. Happy to have it

Congrats Coinman! I see you use the T2 SE. How are you liking it? I think I've found about 14 LCs since I got mine in September. It loves the old coppers. My oldest LC was a 1797. But I'm really psyched with the 1782 2 reale it nabbed me a couple weeks ago :-)

Super nice spoon. It would definitely look good on display. Wb from that "awful" vacation, lol.

congrats! a sterling spoon is still on my wish list. And nice 1830s large cent!

Well it would appear your didn't get rusty over your vacation. Home last night and right back at it today. Way to go!

Great silver spoon, LCs and finds!

I guess you need a vaca after your vaca, to recovery from all the "sight" seeing, eye strain and fried brain!
