Interesting area down in Chaffee County along CR390 up in Clear Creek Canyon. Mining started up here in the 1860's and peaked about 1879. Beaver City was the first mining camp established and at one time had 20 buildings but only two have been preserved. Note the sign that was posted on one cabin.
