Well all, it has been quiet some time since I last posted. I have only been metal detecting a handful of times over the last 2 years since my wife and I moved back to Florida from Massachusetts. My old Bounty Hunter kicked the bucket and I picked up a cheap metal detector from Harbor Freight last week for giggles. This was before I realized Kellyco was in the town next to where I live currently. Trust me, now that I know it is there and have paid a visit, I plan on saving up a bit and giving Raul (sales guy) a visit this summer to make a decent purchase.

In any case, I'm posting with my 60 minute finds using the Harbor Freight Junk-O-Matic. It did pretty well in this 25 year old park in my neighborhood. My count came to 1 wheat penny, 24 modern pennies, 3 nickels, 1 dime, 1 car key, and this pretty interesting "naughty" heads I win/tails I loose token. As I have been around long enough to know we have young readers, I took the liberty of censoring the adult lady bits. The token was found around the base of a tree near the rubber mulch playground and the coins mostly were dug around a 1/2 basketball court. Enjoy!

KNEES !!!!! I found that very same token, or rather one just like it, back in March.

I found mine in a schoolyard playground.. in the woodchips.. I surmised that little Johnny "borrowed" it from Dad's sock drawer or something to that effect. <grin>

Small world isn't it? Happy Hunting!

Good Gracious!!! Too funny that we would both find this token in a playground! I have never seen this token before, but must admit, I was laughing when I did. It made my day and is perhaps the funniest find I have had yet! HH

not sure if ya can see it but one at bottom is same heads n tails coin. and yes from a schoolyard also. almost every soldier in wwII came home with dozens of them. prob ever war after also.

Congratulations on your finds, Knees!!! Hey, where are you located? I'm in Lakeland, (Polk County) Good luck hunting in the future.

Hey, I want one! Would you knidly loose that in my park so I can find it? ;D

Plehbah, I have to compliment your recent finds and your word-smithing in your recent posts!

Junkman, I'm in Maitland on the Seminole/Orange County border. Have you ever been to the Central Florida Metal Detecting Club? Its held the 2nd Friday of every month in Sanford and I was considering going next month for the first time. Although, that might be a bit of a haul from where you are.

It would seem that the junk-o-matic can score. Nice digs. I did manage to find one of those when I was back home in NC. it's an unusual token I would say. Does anyone know where these come from, any particular bar or adult store maybe?

Awsome conversation piece!!! That's a great find! :occasion14:

No, Knees, I have never been to a detecting club meeting over there. You're right about it being a haul from here in Lakeland. That much fuel will buy a lot of batteries!!! Good luck to you on your future hunts.
