I have been really busy working on a large commission for some glass pendant lamps, so there has been little time for detecting:BangHead:.I've been so busy making moulds, blowing glass, grinding glass, and on top of that job and kid responsibilities; that I'm nearly losing my mind. The only thing keeping me off the deep end is the other week I found my best large cent to date 1848, and I'm riding that high for all its worth until I get out again. I have found probably 7 or 8 before this and they were all just horribly toasted(unlike my beautiful canadian largie, I'll say it for the thousandth time they had a far superior copper compared to the us.) Few other relics as well, thanks for checking it out. Hope to get back to detecting soon.

I'm pretty busy untill the 8th, but i might have some time sat afternoon or sunday. I'll let you know. That Green did change a bit but not much at all, its still beautiful but just hard to see through the reflection of the coin holder. I forgot to get good pics before I put it away.

Nice save on that largie! Killer patina too.

Beautiful coin, but I'd like to see pictures of your work if you have a chance.

I'll throw up some when I finish grinding and sandblasting. but here is the raw object fresh out of the mould(still dirty from plaster and silica). The bottom gets cut off and ground flat to make a open bottom dodecahedron, Then my client will throw hanging lamp hardware on them and send them off to her gallery show where they will accompany her photography and print work. They don't look like much, but it is amazingly hard to get flat surfaces with sharp corners like that(with out grinding them and then the pentagons would never be even and would look like $*^T.)

Congrats on the nice LC and other nice finds

Amazing finds! That large cent is gorgeous! Congrats!

Congrats on the copper, it's surprising on how one cent can hold one's sanity together when life's stress levels start to peak. Nice work on the glass also.

That is a beautiful Large Cent
Congratulations on getting out

Congrats on a great looking Large Cent.

Thanks everyone!

Here is a few photos of a few of the finished glass pieces ready to be sent out and hooked up with hardware.

That one held up in the dirt nicely. Lots of raised detail too. An excellent find (and your glass work ain't to shabby either)!

Awesome LC! Great find, sounds like you have a good spot, good luck and congrats!!

Thanks all, hoping it's time for an old silver soon
