Been Hot out

This last weekend has been up in the mid 90s to 100 yesterday, so the dogs only get a walk in the in the mornings and late afternoons around the lakes and what I guess would be our savanna's, which are the open-space parks around me. I saw some eagles in an old dead cottonwood catching a breeze on top in the distance, so that was nice to see they're still hanging around. Outside of the hot weather, which I'd take any day over what's going on elsewhere, I stayed indoors most of this labor day holiday. The heat does make for some in interesting sunrise and sunsets.

I can't wait for our week of cool weather around the end of January! Down here we have early summer, mid summer, late summer that runs from March to November. Then we have fall in December, winter in January and spring in February. Sometime we don't have fall and spring!

I guess we're breaking some records for the September heat. I drove over the Rockies today and got to enjoy some of the cooler weather with rain today.

Well luckily for me the only hot weather I experienced this year was when we went down to Arboles CO and it was up in the nineties every day. I used to work outdoors in 105 degree heat so I really do appreciate where I live now.
