Kinda chilly out this morning, took the equinox to a place I spied on an old 1950's aerial photo this week. Looked like an old parking area near some trails leading to a pond. I've been trying to find a silver quarter, I thought why not this place.
I didn't want to dig much trash, short on time, so i had it in Park 1, stock coil, sensitivity 20.
Wandered for a short time, dug a few cans, and a car part, then got another strong signal. I was thinking another beer can top or something. It was pretty solid at around 37 or 38. Dug the plug it was a bit deeper, moved some dirt with my hand and there it was, the edge of a big coin! Pulled it out and boom walker half! 1943.
My first silver half, and my 2nd equinox silver. Happy hunting to all!
