Before Christmas dinner gold !

Hope you got what you wanted for Christmas. I had an hour to kill before going to Christmas dinner at my brothers , so i hunted this grammar school a couple blocks from my home. Its an old school (1930's) but has been landscaped many many times. But hay , kids loose lots of stuff. Besides clad I've pulled a nice silver ear ring from there. We had a 45 minute down pour earlier this morning , so the the grass was a bit soggy but made digging plugs easy.
So there i was swinging over a target that kept saying pull tab , it was a solid signal five inches deep. As i was digging the plug i was thinking , " i did't get much this Christmas , wouldn't it be cool if this was gold?" I was thinking the word "gold" as i was popping the plug and there , this gold ring jumped into view ! I actually gasped in amazement ! Marked 10k.

I tried saying gold at every low tone i dug after that but no luck.
