Decided to cash in the coins I have found metal detecting since 2014 and the total number of coins is about 10,000. About 50% of the coins are cents. How much is the actual cash value?

$798.80!

I’m going to throw in a few (5-7) gold bands to meet my goal — purchasing a Minelab Equinox 800 with 15 inch coil and water proof headphones. If you look around there are some really good package deals for the Nox 800 and I decided it was time to buy (Ok, my birthday is next month and decided to splurge).

The thing is, I really won’t use the Nox 800 for another 6 months - until I return to Florida and my beaches. In the interim, I’m going to read and read again the new handbook on the Nox 600/800 by Andy Sabisch (his book on the CTX 3030 is GREAT) and put his words into practice and more practice… until I know the Nox back and forth. Then, I’ll be ready for the surf and compare the Nox 800 to my favorite CTX 3030 and my back up machine; the Excal II 1000.

Has the Mailman arrived yet?

Happy Hunting

MY 600

My second hunt on a small pocket beach landed me this little 22k ruby ring, It apraised at $1,600. I think that is the fastest pay off for me yet.
