Belchertown State School

My best friend at college has told me about an old abandoned school in Belchertown Ma. I don't know if its off limits to the public or not but it dates back to the 1800's and seems like a good place to go hunting. If they allow it there that is since its was a state school. Has anyone been there before? Belchertown is located in western Mass and probably about an hour drive from where I live. But I sure don't want to go there, heard it was haunted.
