My buddy found this bell today at a 1750’s house site. Appears to be hand engraved with possible Chinese writing. FB1A1C10-7467-42B4-843C-FA10E85637A8.webp. Any idea age, identity?

Thaats in great shape if its that old but it is cool

Looks like a bell of Sarna, from India. Is there any writing inside?

The first Chinese immigrants didn't arrive in the US until the 1820's. I'm thinking it's probably a 19th century ceremonial bell of some sort. Most of the one's I've seen are much more ornate, though.
