went back out as it cooled off. Rang up as brass although not sure. Promise I will stop annoying everyone with my junk for the rest of the weekend. I also want to express sincere thanks to all that have taken time out for me. I would be lost without this site. Any help is appreciated.

With the hole in It either was nailed on or screwed on to something. Does it have just 1 hole or is there 2? Also is it smashed?

My first thought was an axle cap for a Red Flyer wagon or some kids wagon a real old one though when they still used metal axle caps.

Very much smashed. Had to unflatten with pliers. There are 2 holes

Wow thanks Tic! It would make sense in that the lot in which I dug it is full of horse tac. Again I appreciate it.
