Nice find woolshed. It looks so much bigger in your picture - you really get a feel for the actual size when you watch your VIDs. Thanks for sharing...

I would have paid a nugget to see the Lady that wore it, wouldn't you mate!!?? Nice find and congrats!

Wow , that buckle is gorgeous ! I'd be quite happy with it .

Love the buckle. Congrats

Wool, that is a great little buckle! One that I have not seen.I have my doubts it was a womens buckle though....well,I should say,we initially called them ladies buckles as well, but giving the fairly common occurance we note of them in remote camps that we know there were no women, and several period dagureotypes of men whereing these fancy little floral buckles,we realized that for what ever reason men were wearing these!!I am sure in your research you have noted the scarcity of a woman in your camps as well?

I just had to go back and see your buckle again - Does the reddish area seem to be enamel ? and any idea what the metal/s is ?

Very neat find. Sure there is more.

Hi, Yes the red I think is enamel. The larger half of the buckle is brass and the smaller is brass with the centre being silver. ( I think, ? )

Cheers, Woolshed.
