Please excuse the delay in responding. I am recalling this story from memory. Originally the complete story was downloaded by me from another site. My computer has since crashed, so I lost the complete details. As I recall, patriots sacked a British supply train, discovering a chest or two of gold, with which the British paid their soldiers. Responding British troops caught up to, and hung the patriots. However, not before they had succeeded in burying the gold, so it was not recovered.
