I found the best coin spill ever.
Dates are in the combined picture.
The silver maritime buckle is a mystery.
I am not sure it is a suspender clasp or a belt buckle.
I found it first in the spill then all the others came.
All within a 3 foot circumference area.
So stoked. 2024 started off bad but today saved the day.

Great looking spill, congrats on yhe silvers.
The buckle is a sweet keeper.

That's a great spill alright! I always wonder how they lost that much without noticing (or without anyone else noticing before the ground hides it all).

Right?
They were all consistently 4-6 inches deep. If I lost $1.29 back then, I would be livid.
The way I see it, he or she snagged the buckle on a tree while hunting and ripped open his (or her) pocket and the coins along with the buckle fell to the ground. It was dawn and darkness was upon them as they were tracking a 12 point buck they just shot and could not stop to pick it up at the time. The next morning they could not find the location but were so happy to harvest meat that the money was not an issue. Sounds good anyway.
