Yesterday (Sunday) I went out to a CW flank field where a battle took place. Each time I went I got a bullet and that was pretty much it, so I promised myself this would be the very last time I would go there, because it was drained.

Turned out to be the best day ever so far. I got 2 sharps carbines bullets, 1 colt bullet, and 2 small old lead bullets which I don't know what they are. So a total of 5 bullets in two hours. I was happy.

Isn't it weird? It's like you go over the same area 3 or 4 times and still find new stuff.

Re: Best CW day yet

In this day and time, you had a great hunt even in VA. CW Relics get harder to find each year. That coil has to go over that target just right and soil moisture is crucial. WTG, Quindy.

Awesome day indeed. I'm happy just finding one bullet or button anymore. Congrats , MM

Alright here is a picture. I don't know what the smaller ones are, but they are lead. The medium is a colt.

Nice Relics ! MaineRelic

Hey Brion,
I think you are right on on the the ID of the sharps rounds, but I believe the other bullets may be post civil war.. they don't appear to have much "patina" on them.
I may be wrong, but either way... nice finds!!
Keep at it,
Felix

Nice , I am glad that area is still giving up the relics for you.

Maybe I just need better pictures of the other 3 bullets
