whites mx sport. DFX tesori tiger shark
Primary Interest:
Relic Hunting
I have been detecting for around 10yrs and love the civil wsr relics. I went out a couple of weeks ago to a place i have pounded to death. It was before work 1 day and i decide to go for a couple of hours. I decide to look in a spot that i have overlooked because it was just to obvious. Thinking anyone abd everyone has probably tried it. But to my surprise within 30min of being there i found these 2 complete civil war muskets. They sstill had the tampoin in barrels and 1 still had precussion cap.. just wanted to share my best finds so far.. thanks

Don't let em dry out.....banner finds !!!!

I am still working on thing as you the wood is difficult to stabilize..they are not in best of shape. I have run through electrolysis for a small
amount of time just to loosen large rust areas. I have used gemplers to stabilize the metal but
still eorking on the wood20180812_204002.webp

The last pic...rifle is equipped with Maynard tape priming system. This might narrow down the possible type of rifle. Gary
