I have not posted here in a little while but I thought this silver spill was worth sharing!

So I set out to test an Amazon detector the Dr Otek MT-XR. I brought my trusty equinox along of course. I managed to find the Sterling silver ring with the Mt XR in a newer park about 2-3 inches down. I moved to the oldest park in town established in 1891 and I was not finding deep targets with the Dr Otek so I used the equinox and gridded an area and marked 3 deep targets to test the MT XR on. Man did I find a good deep target! A 3 silver dime spill with 2 barbers and a very worn seated! This is the best silver spill I have ever found. Finding it in a public park made it that much sweeter! Puts me at 26 silver coins FTY. I also found a nice green Indian Head. Check out the video if you want to see the live digs or how the Amazon detector did. Thanks for looking!

That is one awesome hunt, Congrats! Simply don't see many 3 silver dime spills..

That's a great spill! You just can't beat 3 old silver dimes in the same hole!
That seated is indeed "very worn"!

I love those old parks and not much better than pulling a silver out and the pin pointer keeps beeping. Ive found a few spills freakin what its all about....That rings cool also Glad you had an awesome day.......Tommy

That is one outstanding silver spill! Congrats! Double Congrats that they came out of a public park. Think out all of the detectorists that have walked over that same signal in the past 50 years!

Great day in the park, congrats! :occasion14:

The Dr otek? $120. Equinox was $800. Equinox will go quite a bit deeper on coins.
Nice finds! That seated looks like the ones I find.
Thanks! Yeah it the slickest silver I have ever found.

Thanks! Yes public park silver is the most satisfying in my opinion. I have seen 2 detectorists hunting that same area just this spring. I almost didn't even bother going over it but I am glad I did.
Great day in the park, congrats! :occasion14:
