The house was built around 1880. I was elated to get the "whenever" permission. A buddy went with me one day and I hit it again before the last cold wave came in. My buddy found a bus token, a few silver dimes, and a few wheaties. I found a couple of silver dimes, an excellent 1890 Indian head that I hope to picture later. I also found my first pocket spill! The 3 silver quarters, silver dime and nickel all came out of the same hole! thanks for looking
Here's my best find. It's a Stone Mountain commemorative half dollar from 1925! This was just along the sidewalk turned partially on end. The thimble and ring were found close together and both of silver. The Shield nickle is from 1874. Altogether, it's my best yard yet!

Nice silver,

That is a great yard. Have hunted one's like it before. Untouched sites are rare.

Sorry for the sloppy post. I'm still figuring this out!

Congrats on some nice finds :icon_thumleft:, but watch how you clean up those older coins, the silver`s looking kinda scratchy.... :(

Great yard I'd say, congrats on the haul.......Very Nice

Wow! Great finds. Congrats on the Stone Mtn. half.

That Stone Mountain coin is way cool...My dad was raised not far from there and I visited there several times. Perhaps I will have my detector next time and do some door knocking!!!
Sweet digs

What did you clean the 1938 Penny with?

That half Dollar is too cool !! :hello2:

VERY nice finds congrats.

An excellent yard! Love the Stone Mountain Commemorative!

Detecting sites like that is true metal detecting heaven!

Congratulations on those wonderful finds!

Nice finds. As a coin collector, I like the Stone Mountain 50 center. That is in really good condition.

those are some really excellent coins. I'd be going back and hitting it hard. HH

I just used soap and a toothbrush on the penny. The ground is very good for pennies. I will try to post the XF++ grade 1890 penny I found later! I barely touched it with the toothbrush and a touch of handsoap.

Hey those are some great finds.. just a small pointer, when you find those silver coins, wait til you get home to clean em off cuz you can see all the rub marks from when you found em.. If you ever find a key date coin worth a few hundred or thousand, it will significantly lower the value.. just a tip

Fantastic finds, some of those coins I had never seen before. Thanks for sharing and best of luck on future hunts there.
