Found by a total novice - first hunt and not all that enthused about it - until he spotted this! "I think I found some kind of scraper or something. Maybe not...probably just a rock." LOL. And I didn't find a thing that day - not even a chip or flake in a known proto-Cayuga site with a large area of black "Indian dirt".

Nice! I took a friend hunting once that had never found any kind of Indian Relic in his life. He was around 30 and as excited as a 10 year old. He would see a rock, pick it up and holler "Hey Look At This!". After the 276th "Hey, look at this", i looked down to see a nice small polished celt only to hear #277 "hey look at this". I looked over and he was holding a beautiful polished celt about 8 inches long. It made both of ours's day!
