Beware of Forum Reviews - I Had a Really Odd Thing Happen!

I think you're ok as long as you be sure to say that the information is just your experience and may not be that way to everyone. Case in example. I have a new Minelab Safari that I have been fighting for over a month. I can't find diddly squat with it and all the other reviews are raves. So, I am incredibly inept in using it or it is broke. The factory seems to think it is broke, so I am sending it back next week to find out. I hope it wasn't me, but I am telling it how it is regardless. Monty

That's too rich Badger. Guess I won't be looking forward to your future reviews...
Don't mean I won't read them anyway!

I count on honest criticism from machine users about their own experiences and yes I expect that there will be some degree of familiarity lacking when someone works with a new machine so that will be an issue in their experience, that I have to weigh.

I'm not partial to one brand or the other and anything I report is strictly what works best for me. Some people get irate and down right mean if their equipment isn't loved by all! I just don't understand that. They do the same thing with cars I've noticed. Monty

Ya and keep it up Monty.

Have you tried the F70 or F75 yet?

Wish I could afford one. Oh well, maybe later.

The curiosity is almost overwhelming.

MB, another thing that a lot of people don't take into consideration is in their belief, dirt is dirt. They might know they have clay soil but wouldn't recognise mineralized soil without testing it or know how to test it.

To be quite honest with you, I very much appreciate the reviews of different machines and accessories and consider the replies (pro and con) to be a public service. I want to hear about everyones' experiences. Let's say a MD manufacturer comes out with their new model and .2% have a problem but most people just love it; OK fine. Then, 15 months later, 91% of the formerly satisfied customers are now having the same or other problems--are they supposed to keep quiet now. I think not!
I've heard that Fisher had a couple of models that left more than a few bitter and disappointed. How would you like to buy a lemon, only to find that others could have set you straight? The idea of only opening your mouth when you have something pleasant to say just doesn't work on this forum.

Good points MB, its funny the F75 was mentioned. When they first came out everyone was bashing them and they were coming up on ebay. Now you see how much people love them..... I guess they just finally understood the machine. Try a F75 badger, you might like it!!!!!
