Bh 505 issu

Hi all , got a by 505 for free but having issues how can I tell if I have a bad coil or a bad control board or just send it in . Unit turns on but it does not pick up any targets also in all metal mode if I wave my hand in front of the control box or unit it sounds off as if its picking up my hand like a piece of metal closer I get the more sound . Is this unit worth fixing??

If you know of anyone with another Bounty Hunter, you could swap out the coil they have and test it on yours. Failing that option, I would just send it it to First Texas to be repaired.

Good idea someone said to test the resistance on the coil it has a 5 pin connector but need to know what pins to test

Yep, That's why its easier to swap coils.
