Bicentential half

Could be, is the mintmark from San Francisco? If so, it probably is a silver clad piece, 40% that is.

The mint is right and I'm wrong, I tapped the edge with a grinder and its copper underneath the silver....but its still a strange bicentential and I'll have to keep it...at least it only cost me 50cents

Interesting link, but I really don't think they'll give you $8 for an MS65 1977P or D (for example) and only $6 for a Proof 1977S.

Overall the numbers "do not compute".

Doesn't really seem right does it? Here is another site that shows about the same thing.
