Big Ankle Bone I Think

Here is what I think is probably an ankle bone found on a Florida East Coast beach. I'd like ideas on what kind of creature it came from.

Don't know what your ankle bone is but I used to dive competitivly against IRCC every year. Beautiful area, would have loved to have had time to do some searching around there.

Looks like the distal end of a femur of some kind . Maybe bison or cow? 8) 8) 8)

Seems to be a ball and socket style joint.....ankles tend to be hinge joints. Not sure what it could be

I think that 'worthy55' is right; it's the distal end of a femur. It's not horse. I think that bison is a very probable identification.
