Big coin? ?

I went today to a new location where the old court house use to be and was demolished in the 1930s and School was built just recently a addition is being added the ground is dug up and in found this I thought is was a coin , the edge looks like coin but no marking that I can see its big as a dollar coin , it came as 78 / 80 on my T2

Id lean more towards it being a watch case back.

reeded edge, but no details on either side. looks to have one spot that might have had something soldered to it at one time. makes me think it's a pendulum weight for a clock
