...unfortunately condition is lacking on both! I met up with a bud this morning for a couple hours in a park in Halifax. This park has been hunted well but there are still a couple keepers. When I dug the Vicky silver I thought it was a 25 cent. It wasn't until I got home that I saw that it was actually a Newfoundland 20 Cent Victorian. It is very well worn but it is a confirmed 20 cent piece! A rarity in these parts! These were made from 1865 to 1900...
I also managed a brass military button which has seen better days...63 Regiment?
I was happy with these finds...especially the 20 Cent...a first for me. Thanks for looking.
BTW...I cleaned the silver hoping to get a date but no such luck. I wasn't too worried about affecting the value due to it's condition.
