Two hours solo, after a two hour bike ride. Then rain sent me packing.
Thinking the good spot is probably under much (tons) of iron scrap, or maybe a little east in standing corn ? we'll see.

Got another one of the very large coppers, and while it has a lot of detail the surface is rough, it's still above average condition of the coppers I find. So I'm happy with it being the only coin of the hunt.

Another silver spoon, broke, and I broke it more, destined for the melting pot anyway. Unless I'm wrong this one is also a halifax maker. The rest as seen, some kind of tap, a lead seal without any markings that I can see, although it is still dirty, don't think anything there to see.

Going to add pics in reverse order...see if that works.
EDIT, last two posts I put pics in the "right" order, they came up the wrong order, today I did it....you get it.

Nice token again Rick!

The buckle is good and fantastic job on the silver spoon ,although broken it still a testament to local silversmiths and a relevant piece if history

Wonderful coin with super detail! :icon_thumright: :occasion18::blob9: She's rough as she's irritated about being stuck underground so many years. She's a beauty! Andi

Just love it when there is makers marks that you can trace back to a time frame...WTG

Great finds Rick ! I love the old silver , and the penny token - The silver find is probably rather rare, I don't imagine there were many silversmiths ,
working in or around Halifax during that period . Can hardly wait to see what else comes up from that site .

That silver's a keeper in my books!

Nice score there Rick, your making up for lost time on the silverware. Nice token too.
