On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, I started at an aunt's house in the Big Knob area of our region. I didn't have very high expectations, and my suspicions were confirmed: I found about $.60 in clad and a wheat, but found this interesting little truck and medallion bragging about the fabulous Pennsylvania Turnpike. I, for one, hate it; the Turnpike, not the medallion. After a few hours, I decided that my other aunt's house down the road might yield one old coin for the day; she has an old foundation on her land that goes back a long time, and I've found lots of old wheats there. I wasn't disappointed: I found an 1898 Indian in pretty nice shape. The blue trailer is a previous find; other than the color, it matches up well with the truck. Both are Tootsietoys.
