Hello everyone,

Went out over the break everyday for a few hrs here and there. Been hot and super dry here almost all summer long. However I still been getting down deep and recovering items left behind.

Most of the finds have come from a nice old park. I was hunting a nice little grove tucked deep into the woods. I wasn't the first to hunt it but I did manage a few cool finds. The 57 heinz watch fob and the reading medal came from the site.

I also pulled a merc to from down about 8 9 inches deep. Even with the dry soil I have been getting good depth. Large coil on the Dfx makes the Diff. Although nothing rare except a semi key date 1875 toasted indian that I found the other day mixed in a hole with a 1892.

Both wear eaten alive by the soils in this area. So they became canidates for being wized and some what decent looking. I also found a large copper disc with a bird melted or soldiered onto it with a wire cage design in the background.

Pretty neat item. Almost was pitched into the huge tub of what's it's in the basement. I also found 2 buttons can anyone i.d them. The one says K G C St on it. The other I can't describe. Neither have backs to them.

Other than that just some wheats and common 40's silver. Did get a 1919S and a 1915D wheat though. Mint marks are rare here in Pa. Also got a really nice bracelet sterling marked with a four leaf clover inside it with the letters NYE in the leafs. Anyone know a maker for this item.

Once again thanks for looking and commenting

Hh Jer

Thanks guys,

Yes, I thought the same thing Knights of the golden circle. But the little ST on the button is a little weird. Would be cool though if it were from that organization. Thanks for the link to.

Terrific finds! I like the religous medal and bracelet.I think your 'KGStC ' is associated with the Knights of Columbus'(Catholic).Keep diggin, buddy, you're doing great.

Great finds Jeremy, I like the fob and metal, very nice stuff!

Yes,

It was another solid weekend worth of finds. Although it does seem like anymore no good signal come easy. You really have to work if you wanna find some goodies still out there. Especially living in a city. Lot of hunters around here.

Yes Carl, The fob says pittsburgh pa on the bake with a picture of what the heinz building looks like. It is still located in our city here. It is a really nice old building. Nice piece of local history. It was down deep in a old grove missed by others in the past.

I'd have to say it dates in the 40's maybe early 50's. Civil, you are right man. I do come up with alot of weird and unique pieces. I guess because I dig alot of lower signals left behind by others. I go to old areas and just dig. I'll take anything as long as it's not a pull tab.

Thanks again guys,

HH Jer

Thanks rodger,

Gonna try and get out here again today. Looks like rain here finally. I am sick to but I've been known to hunt even when I am dead.
