some lucky bugger found a 500 ounces nugget at one of our best
gold detecting fields.If youwant to know more just ask

I'd like to hear more. Australian gold is some of the most beautiful gold I've ever held. I held a 27 pounder on display at GPAA several years back. The dealer showing it off was named "Grizzly" out of California. He was honest enough to say he didn't find it, but the guy he was putting together the gold tours to your great nation for, WAS the finder. 500oz would make the new find about 40# avoir dupois. Hi mate
Its all been hush hush here in Australia but here is what has been
doing the rounds as no one has admitted to finding it yet. It is
reported by the Courier mail brisbanes number 1 news paper
that the township of Dunolly in central Victoria was laying
a new sewage plant for the town witch involved digging
at least a 6 ft trench for miles in and around the town.
Some
lucky bugger decided to to do a bit of midnight detecting
following the trench digger and low and behold came up
with the third biggest nugget found in Australia.
The
other two being Halts nugget and the Welcome
Stranger witch were both melted down and made
into soverines. thanks detector no pics yet
