Hi, Looks like one of the Pyrites, there are a few to choose from. Maybe mindat.org and the "Minerals by Properties" type of search will help you. Don't forget the streak test. Usually, I look for crystal deformation to indicate the presence of included precious metals, but your crystal faces look "too nice". Usually, sulfides won't beep for me unless they are enriched, even galena. I have 15 lb chunks that are totally silent, and thumbnail size pieces that scream. Assays have shown that about 40-50 oz/ton is the lower limit of detectability in my area. That's how I spot high grade on the dump from 20 paces: look for smoothness (plus slight copper "squeeze"). Anyways, the beeping content may be down in the cracks/scunge, or it could be iron or a magnetic (hot rock type response). You'd have to know your machine's response behavior, but most of mine are crisp on metals and sort of echo-y or lopsided or flat-top staurate on a lot of magnetics. Other more vexing hot rocks are nice and crisp, but on machines that give you a number (phase), they tend to be high, usually 92 to near 100 and easier to filter.
