This object was on my property in Tucson when I bought it. I was told it was a wrecking ball, but I have found they are usually not steel or completely round and hollow. The former owner used to take apart building sites and mines around here. The loft in the main room is held up by a clutch shaft from a mine in Sonoita. I have an old light pole (cast iron) holding up the main beam in the shop. I have no clue what this would have been used for and really want to know if anyone has seen a thing like this. It is about 3 1/3 feet in diameter, and has a connector neck on it. The neck has a round disk for some kind of connection. It is approx 11 feet in circumference. My husband is standing next to the thing, he is 5'11".
