My cousin(flyinryan2) and I were lucky enough to have a chance to hunt out at deepsecrets property today. Very honored and grateful for that! He's a great guy, showed us the property gave the back story and everything. Very rich in history. I think it was about 14 acres to cover...lot of ground to cover. I found a bunch of square nails, part of a horseshoe and other iron pieces. Keeper of the day was the flat button that was probably inch in a half in the ground under a rock. Either says "Rich Dark Colour" or something "Colour" I've found a few flat buttons over time and they usually say something to that effect on the backmark.

Before we left he showed us his finds from the property. AMAZING stuff! He recently posted his finds in the "Colonial and CW farm finds" topic, check them out! I've never actually seen a large cent and he had one he found there and it was just in beautiful shape! I was kinda drooling a bit! Just being able to hold the coin in my hand felt great. Anywho! He invited us out again if we wanted and with my newly ordered Fisher F75 coming soon can't wait to see what I can pull out of there now compared to the ace 250.

Thanks for looking and again thanks to deepsecrets. Need more guys like him who aren't afraid of other detectorists coming on his property and finding some keepers.

It was a pleasure to have Ryan and Matt out at the farm and glad they didn't leave empty handed - two great guys and welcome here anytime. Couple of nice buttons came out of the ground and I'm sure there's more waiting.

Funny story. He has horses on the property and I was just detecting away with my back turned and he has a HUGE dog and before I actually KNEW he had a huge dog I heard this really heavy thumping noise coming up behind me, I thought for SURE I was about to get trampled by a horse. Yep, I thought that was the end of me for sure. lol Good thing it was just the dog and a very friendly one at that...loved sniffin' in the holes when I'd dig 'em. lol
