Hey everyone,

I started detecting today knowing that I only needed to find 3 wheats for my brother and I to pass a combined total of 500 on the year.

Did a little more than that! Found 11 wheats in maybe an hour and a half. Also found a 46 Jefferson. So close to a war nickel!

Good luck out there all,

That is just amazing.Over 500 wheat pennies is quite a haul. Were any of them in the key date area? in hunting over 50 years I did find several keys and a few semi key Lincoln cents. Best was 1909 s and next was an 1914 d penny.

Thank you. Yes, lots of early teen S wheats. I think I got multiple 1910-1914 S mint wheats. My brother got a 24-D.

Congrats, to you and your brother , on the 500 wheats... my wheats near me are usually in such bad shape, you can only tell they are wheats, but, can't read most dates..
