Today was townwide yardsale day in my town where there were 15-20 yard sales going in within a mile of my house. A few blocks down from where I live, an older gentleman was selling various antiques. He obviously wasn't a collector, and he sold me an 8mm movie projector with the original box, and a 1950's erika typewriter with the original carrying case for just $20. After looking up the values online, the 8mm movie projector sells for around $40 w/ the box in working order and the typewriter sells for around $250 in the condition I have it in. The gentleman was nice enough to show me how the movie projector works, and watching him turn it on, its absolutely fine. $290 worth of antiques for $20, not bad in my book
