Me too, it had some very good historical info from Gibson and Steely...it is a shame it was removed!
I found a documentary on Swift while looking for it, it is well done, nothing new in it but the information within it would be helpful to those just starting into the legend/search.
I posted it in a new thread.
 

I live in the Pike Co. Kentucky area where they say some of the treasure was found.
 

Thought I found some in a creek. Really don’t know what I have.

No one will be able to help you with just a picture. Might try having it analyzed at UK? Or send a sample to an assayer?
 

Thought I found some in a creek. Really don’t know what I have.

If this were 240 some years old, the tarnish would have turned silver black. This looks like aluminum or something. Still neat though.
