It is a bit thick though so I can totally see how you came to that.

I just googled cryovac and this was a company that made bags to seal food. Thanks all. You know your stuff.
 

yeah, I was about to say that the crimp looked like it would break a bird's leg
 

Its awful thick for a bird band. It would also have some registration numbers on it if it was.
