All Treasure Hunting
Went out yesterday to almost think I was skunked. Picked up an odd silver 925 Mexico ring and not many targets at all. Very bleak out there on the beach. After about an hour or two of hunting my buddy decided to join. Pick another ring up and didn't think much of it at first. Just was think it was stainless steel with crap stones. We stop to chat and show each other our finds. I pull my two rings out and feel the weight of the one and I knew better that it wasn't stainless steel. We showed off the finds and I mentioned to my friend the weight was heavier than stainless. When I got home later I did an acid test on the ring. First starting with 22k trying to eliminate it being stainless steel. 18k acid dissolved the line but the line held 14k acid. Today I decided to test the stones with the diamond tester. Which it lit up like a Christmas tree. Also got another watch that was toasted.

Awesome! Congrats!
Great find! I've never found black diamonds in anything.
Sometimes the weight does give you a clue if it's gold.

Nice ring, how much did it weigh.

Thank you. It's my first ring with black diamonds in over three and a half years detecting.
