I have found several blank copper disks at my friend's farm. They measure 1.25 inches and seem thinner than any coin I've ever seen. I find them all around the property, and usually about 6 inches in the ground. We have history of the land going back to the 1800s and I have found a bunch of items dating back that far. Just wondering if anybody might know what these would be or how old they are.

Picks would be nice to see, but I'd guess that they are rosettes from the descriptions you gave.

Is there a nail hole in them? If so, could of been used on tar paper

Need photos perhaps with a quarter in the picture for scale.

Could just be stamping blanks with no real significance whatsoever. Some people buy these things in bulk to make their own tags for various and sundry things.

No holes or anything. I'll throw a pic up in a few minutes.

Not much to tell from the pic that I didn't describe, but here is one of them.

Stamping blank.

Care to elaborate?

Stamping blanks are just plain commercially made discs of different metals, available in different thicknesses and diameters, that are used for all sorts of things. We had them on the farm that we stamped numbers on that were affixed to outgoing poultry shipments. We also used them as key tags.
