....So bleak that I included my dug trash to make the pic a little more interesting.
Same old story, seas 2-3 feet, too rough to go very deep into the surf. Not many good targets as you can see. Hopefully the water is calmer next Monday.

Sorry no gold. I hate that when I get there and the water starts to churn. There's no fun at all trying to dig a target when you are being smashed by waves. Each new wave feels worse than the previous one.

Funny idea to put the garbage in the picture. You are right it does make it more interesting. It's hard to believe all the garbage that one digs at the beach.

Pratt: The beach is definitely a bit cleaner since my visit. TreasurdiggrNY: I have on a few occasions thought about sending the city a bill for my services.
Jpotter: Hopefully I'll have more goodies and less trash to make an interesting pic next week.
Mona: The coins were a welcome sight. I mean nobody wants to see a picture of trash, no matter how colorful or interesting.

Sorry...I just wanted to say the garbage in the picture kind of makes it look like a picasso thing...teasing you.

It's good to sometimes put the good with the bad. I do it too. It's so that others can see that we pick up not only the goodies but the garbage and also so that they can see that finding good stuff is not like picking up Easter eggs. That there is a field of garbage to go through to get to the good stuff. It's called responsible hunting aka beach cleaners. We work for finds....
