Blue and Black Max coils for a DFX?

Can the DFX Spectrum E use the 6.59khz coils, or do they have to have the MXT/M6 coil? Or is there a difference

Nope they won't operate with those coils, you have to use the ones for the V3i,VX3,DFX,MXT, and the M6. I think they operate on 3,15,and 22.5kHz. HH

that's what I thought. I saw a DFX for sale with the Black max 5.3. It didn't look right.

Yes, I sent the guy a message letting him know they wouldn't work on the DFX and he pretty much brushed it off and then said "well, they will at least have a couple of extra coils that will work on an XLT". The point I was trying to make to the guy was that not everyone would know that the 6.59 kHz coils wouldn't work on the DFX. There is actually two different guys on fleebay selling DFX's with extra coils that won't work on the DFX.

Yeah, I sent him a note too. I figured he had another detector that they were meant to be with. No response.
