Andy,
Nice find. WTG. Funny thing I would never have noticed a stone like that as being anything more then a piece of rock! I have to pay more attention in the future! Thanks for sharing with us!

Flint with blue swirls in it is found in abundance in middle Tennessee. Blue flint does not appear to have been used much though, most points found around here are white ,brown, gray,or black.

Hey Badandy, why are you finding all the arrows in or near the water? I would assume you hunt there because the rocks are in the open. However, creeks and rivers don't seem like a likely place to find arrows. ???

Hey MD,
I hunt near the water because that's where they would have camped. If you can find and ancient water source than chances are there will be some artifacts there. If the water has steep slopping side that the artifacts could have been washed in the water from hard rains. The indians were everywhere here in IL. so it's not that hard to find artifacts if you ask me. Others will tell you it's so hard now days that they won't even try looking for points. Hope this helps and HH.

Andy's right There were indians EVERYWHERE.
I've been hunting for 6 years or so. All in Midwestern Illinois... All in the same field as a matter of fact. I have hundreds of artifacts. 400+ whole arrows, 20+ axes, all knids of stuff. It's all over the place. You just have to have the patience and the time to find them!!!!!!!

Keep your eyes on the ground and Keep that flint coming andy!!!!!!!!
